LIKAMI – superfood for skin

As everybody out there, I find myself forever on the lookout for better, cleaner and of course, more affordable skincare products and let me tell you, it’s not an easy task. Everybody has their praises for every other product available on the market, myself included, but still, there’s always this relentless ongoing search for the better, for the best!

As you well know by now, I’ve tried my fair share of skincare products, but now, yet again, I’m ready to try out a new brand, at least new for me, in hopes that this will be THE brand, the one I’ll be sticking with from now on. I’m talking about Likami, a Belgian skincare brand, so I guess that’s one of the reasons I’m so keen to give it a try.

I’ve discovered this brand while shopping for some medication in a pharmacy, they had this really beautiful yet minimalistic display for their products and that’s the first thing that attracted me and made me wonder about it. I remember taking some pics of said display, just so that I’d not forget about it, which of course I did 🤦🏻‍♀️. Then, months and months later, while being stuck inside the house due to the covid19 situation, and while everybody was tooting their own horn about supporting local shops and brands, I thought to myself, sure, why not look for some things local that I can start using, instead of always ordering things from abroad. So my research began and that’s when I stumbled upon the long forgotten pics from the pharmacy… My interest for Likami was awaken again and that’s when I decided to order some of their products.

First visit on their website got me convinced even before checking out the actual products, because they offer a Mother’s Day complimentary gift box with all orders above €50 that contains a relaxing tea blend, a crystal necklace and a cleansing pad for a purifying facial massage, all packed in a cotton bag with some skin-loving samples added to it. Sucker for extra gifts and promotions that I am, I thought to myself, now that I need to get, so I starting browsing their website to choose the products I wanted to have, all the while my thoughts being on that gift! 😂 Gift offer runs until 31st of May, so make sure you get yours while it’s available.

Little did I know though that I was about to fall in love not only with their mentality about skincare, but also the quality and pure, simple, yet effective way of bringing forth an amazing range of natural, organic, plant based  and ethically sourced ingredients  and products that have completely got me hooked on even before having tested out any of them. If you didn’t know, Likami‘s skincare products are based on nature’s finest raw materials and botanical sources. By using active, plant-based ingredients and natural oils, rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, you just know that you’re in for a treat and your daily beauty routine will be transformed completely.

So I ordered their aloe vera – sage shampoo and the jojoba oil – hibiscus – sage conditioner, which I’ve now been using for the past two weeks, with wonderful results I might add. You will find out more details about these two products in my next blog post.

I have also ordered the Likami Jade Ritual Kit which I started using now since a few days, so I’ll write a blog post about this too after a full month of use, when I can give you an actual informed opinion on it.

Above all, none of the Likami products are animal tested. They are free of parabens, silicone, lauryl sulphate, artificial colourings and fragrances, petrochemicals, glycols, TEA & DEA. All in all, there’s not much fault I can find in this brand so far and I can honestly say I’m looking forward to buying even more of their luxurious and exclusive skin, hair and body care products.

Until next time, sit back, relax and be beautiful!

XO Cristina.
